Water Leak Detection – Techniques Used

You can find water leaks at your home without help of any plumber or any equipment to find leaks and can save water for your life in future. You can detect leakage of water using some water leak detection techniques which are utilized by some professional an expert teams to save water. Here some techniques are given which will help you to detect water leakage:

LNC Leak Noise Correlation: is a way of finding and pinpointing leaks in water pipes. When a leak in a pipe creates noise with pressure that travels through pipe walls, leak noise correlates test accurate sound to identify the acoustic frequency caused of water leakage. This technique uses two identical sensors located along the pipe to calculate the leak location by logging the signal delay, sensor distance and the sound velocity.

Tracer Gas Techniques-The trace gas is a safe mixture of hydrogen and nitrogen which is found into the pipe with the suspected leak. The gas is the lightest in the atmosphere and is made up of small molecules. The gas will exit at the leak and make its way to the surface where it is detected using gas sensitive detection pubs. The above are great way for water leak detection.
